Spring Wedding at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center

If you’re looking to have a spring wedding in Houston, Tx., then the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center could be the perfect place for you to host your wedding ceremony.

Ceremony

For their spring wedding, Mariela and David chose the beautiful Houston Arboretum. They were surrounded by the peaceful sounds and sights of nature as they exchanged their traditional vows in the presence of their closest family and friends.

Mariela and David chose to keep their guest list small which made the entire day feel even more meaningful. Every moment was filled with genuine emotion and connection.

The ceremony was beautifully officiated by Judge J. Karahan, who brought his usual warmth and kindness to the occasion. It’s always a pleasure to work with him—he has a wonderful way of making each couple feel truly celebrated.

If you do book The Houston Arboretum for your spring wedding, you must visit the Discovery Room. l’m glad I got to take these gorgeous photos of Mariela by the butterfly display found in the building. To see her beauty next to the butterflies was so breathtaking.

Weather

The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center couldn’t have been better for this outdoor wedding. April in Houston often marks that sweet spot in the calendar when everything is blooming and beautiful, and the summer heat hasn’t arrived just yet. It’s the perfect window for outdoor weddings, with nature at its peak and temperatures that make it easy for guests to relax and enjoy the moment. If you’re considering a spring wedding in Houston, April is truly one of the best months to aim for. You get a higher chance of comfortable weather.

Spring Wedding Decor

Spring wedding decor has a way of making everything so unique and colorful. The bright and sweet spring colors, throughout the bouquet and decor, tied up the whole wedding together. Although Mariela and David did focus on blue tones, having other spring colors made everything so beautiful.

Florals by The Flora Culture

One of my favorite parts of this wedding were the plants decorating the sitting aisles. These plants, provided by The Flora Culture, did not only serve as decor but also as a sweet gift for guests. Guests were able to take a plants home after the ceremony.

Private Vows

Although Mariela and David said their traditional vows in front of their witnesses, they still wanted to read more personal and private vows to each other after the ceremony.

Lunch After the Ceremony

For lunch, Mariela and David chose to go to a restaurant where they both met to enjoy their family and friends company. Although this restaurant is now permanently closed, it was the perfect location to celebrate how far their relationship has gotten.

This wedding was the perfect reminder that going small and intimate can be so unique and special. Sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones shared in a quiet, peaceful place, surrounded by the people who matter most.
